Metering Proofs and Truths
Trouble shooting skills are one of the key features that make a metering professional stand out in their craft. Thorough understanding creates expectations of how different types of electrical loads are measured by single phase electric meters (self-contained or instrument rated) and the importance of having them correctly connected. This class will build an understanding of the Truths offered by Blondel’s Theorem in single phase metering circuits. We will then prove how, in some cases, these principles are and were ‘tricked’ to provide a less expensive meter installation with a non-Blondel’s Theorem metering connection within accepted metering industry accuracies.
