This class will cover some basic terminology of AC and DC electricity.  The terminology specific to AC power will be discussed along with a demonstration of the power factor of different types of AC loads.  Bring your pencil and calculator to solve some sample power factor calculations.  Also discussed are some basic billing calculations to illustrate the excess power costs due to low power factor.
